Ambiguous Insignias started over beers on a Friday night that happened to be the birthday of the local legend named "Soultrain." Katie was distributing Soultrain buttons to his many assembled admirers when Jon suggested the two start making buttons together. Other than the days and weeks spent coming up with crazy button ideas and spending a lot of time sorting through various plans and strategies, that's pretty much it. Two folks who love buttons, love making buttons, and love getting those buttons to folks who also love buttons.

Our belief is that with original ideas and dedication we can create a world of amazing variety and personality using pin-back buttons.

Our intention is to transform the landscape of buttons, what they are, and what they mean; our tool to affect that transformation are the buttons we call the "Wearable Weird." Stupendous buttons, that are fun, clever, and beautiful; sometimes shocking, sometimes irreverent but always weird.
